    FAQs

What is chana masala served with? ›

Serve Chana Masala with fluffy Basmati Rice, Jeera rice, Naan, Roti or Paratha.

What does chana masala taste like? ›

It is not typically as spicy as tikka masala, which can be hot and spicy. Chana masala is often described as having a sweet and sour taste due to adding tomatoes and other ingredients. On the other hand, Tikka masala has a creamy and rich flavor with a tangy tomato base.

How do you reheat chana masala? ›

Like many Indian curries, chana masala will keep in the refrigerator for one to two days or can be frozen for up to two months. You can reheat it in the microwave or on a stovetop over medium-high heat. Don't refreeze it once you've frozen and thawed it, or the curry just turns to mush.
