This tasty, easy, and healthy salad recipe is a spin of the TikTok-famous Jennifer Aniston Salad with a few different additions and swaps.
If you’ve been spending anytime on TikTok over the last few months, you’ve probably seen the many iterations of the Jennifer Aniston salad that has gone viral.
This salad was Jenn’s go-to on the set of filming Friends throughout the 90s. In an interview with the LA Times in 2010, the ladies of the show revealed they ate lunch together every day for 10 years while the show was being filmed and what they ate was Jenn’s famous “Cobb Salad” that really isn’t a Cobb Salad at all. Jenn had her own special recipe and it had to be good if they all ate it every day for 10 years right? I wanted to take this Jennifer Aniston salad and make my version.
Why you’ll love the Jennifer Aniston salad recipe:
- Quick Prep: Make this Jennifer Aniston Salad Recipe in only 20-minutes. If the cast of Friends had time to make this every day, so do you
- Flavorful: I love the flavor combos of the fresh herbs and the crunch of pistachios in this Jennifer Aniston salad recipe
- Addictive: There’s a reason they could eat this one salad for 10 years
Ingredients for this Jennifer Aniston Friends Salad:
Orzo: In Jenn’s salad she used bulger but I didn’t have any on hand in my pantry so I opted for orzo instead. As a Greek woman, I always have orzo on hand.
Spices: From what I gather, the OG salad didn’t include garlic and onion powder but I think it adds a little something, something to this recipe. Feel free to omit if you don’t have it on hand.
How to make the Jennifer Aniston salad:
- Cook the orzo according to the instructions on the package. Allow to cool.
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine ALL of the ingredients.
- Mix to combine and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Enjoy this delicious salad!!

Amazing recipe – I’ve made this at least ten times. I usually do farro instead of orzo, but it’s super adaptable…you can throw basically anything in!

I have made this before and it is delicious but I forget what I did last time, is it 2 cups of dry orzo cooked or 2 cups of already cooked orzo?

Deeelicious! Only change I made was using quinoa in place of the orzo as I have Celiac disease. I double the recipe and my husband and I eat it for lunches during the week.
